The LOV (Light House of the Valley)
Movement is an alliance of Christian pastors in the
Coachella Valley. LOV started with a group of pastors
meeting monthly to pray and seek unity and God’s blessing
for their communities. Through much prayer LOV has
grown to include a cross denominational group of pastors,
churches, para-church groups and market place leaders.
LOV sensed a need for the unified body of Christ to
begin Praying, Caring, and Sharing the love of Christ
to the Coachella Valley. To accomplish this goal,
LOV invited Dr. Mike MacIntosh and The Festival of
Life to partner with them in bringing a valley-wide
evangelistic movement to the Coachella Valley.
Festival
of Life
The Festival of Life is a unique
approach to citywide evangelism. The concept of the
Festival of Life began almost 20 years ago as Mike
MacIntosh, with a passion to share the gospel, began
preaching around the world in such places as China,
Uganda, Poland, Burma, Thailand and Russia. Mike has
always believed in the importance of equipping the
saints and sending them out to do the work of the
ministry. Therefore, Mike would invite several pastors
and small groups of people to join him on these mission
trips. It was out of these early evangelistic efforts
that his vision for bringing larger teams to do an
extensive multi-faceted outreach was born. Since then,
the Festival of Life has been held in twenty cities
in six different countries, reaching well over a million
people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mike Macintosh
 For
over thirty years Mike has been the Pastor of Horizon
Christian Fellowship in San Diego, California. More
than one hundred churches and para-church organizations
have grown out of this congregation world-wide. Currently,
there are over 1,000 students enrolled in Horizon’s
Preschool through College educational system.
Dr. MacIntosh is the Founder and President of Horizon
International Ministries, dedicated to working throughout
the world through social service projects, relief
work, publications, radio, television, and sports.
Mike and his team have served in critical need areas
throughout the worldincluding Poland, Romania, Uganda,
Central America, The People’s Republic of China, Mexico,
Cuba, the Philippines and other Asian countries.
